Aurora

Aurora Aksnes, born June 15th, 1997 in Stavanger and professionally referred to as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase as AURORA is a Norwegian musician and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from music bloggers and the media. Half the World Away, by the Oasis group for John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy by Nat King Cole are two of her best-known songs. Katy Perry, who endorsed the song Runaway from her side, gave it some more recognition. It was her birthday. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memory is of finding the piano in her attic, and becoming fascinated with the sounds it produced. Jan Oystein Aksnes, her parents, May Britt Aksnes, and Jan Oystein Aksnes, encouraged their daughter to take up music as a passion rather than a profession. She began to write with her own music. As well as Bjork as well, she mentions Leonard Cohen as an influence. Her mom encouraged her to play her music publicly, not to be famous, but to help others realize that they matter and what they can do to make a difference in the world. The piano was her first instrument when she was six years old and started creating music when she was nine. They didn't even have any idea until she was fourteen. It was never a dream to become Aurora. The singer says that she simply likes creating music. According to her, music is the most effective way to express anything.
